  • Inspired by a range of artists from Bon Iver to Bombay Bicycle Club.

  • Lawson first gained attention when his song 'Paint' picked up millions of streams on Spotify.

  • Despite releasing an EP titled 'Hangin' Out with Cowboys' he's 'not much for wearing cowboy hats - still working up the courage.'

  • Favourite place on planet earth: Most likely Australia, where Lawson comes from.

As the winter storms rage outside here in Scotland, it's nice to have a calm reminder of those summer days in the mountains. Lawson Hull's new single 'Canada '17' is just that.

Organic heartfelt acoustic guitar is coupled with an emotive and mesmerising vocal performance. The song is centred around Lawson's fantastic vocal and guitar, but light instrumental additions are added throughout. From a teasingly soft kick drum, to a very subtle bass line and just the perfect amount of lead guitar. Lawson has mastered the art of adding just enough to a song without making it too busy and therefore keeping the heart of the song alive.
