I first came across Crawford Mack in spring 2020. I accidentally discovered his music in a Spotify playlist and have been keeping tabs on him ever since!
Crawford hails from Glasgow, the heart of Scotland's bustling music scene. You can hear an undeniable Scottish touch infused in his new single 'Skye', which is probably self evident by the title alone!
'Skye' is a beautiful piece of songwriting, that is well suited for a relaxing drive through the highlands. The fantastic vocal performance is matched by gorgeous strings and gliding guitar notes. Clever production continuously opens up the song, adding additional sounds and details, also ensuring the listener remains captivated.
The chorus is one to hear on repeat. A rare balance of appeasing 'radio ears' and 'audiophiles' simultaneously has been achieved through a combination of a catchy vocal line and a spellbindingly beautiful performance on the strings.
With such evident talent, I'm excited to see what's next for Crawford Mack.
