'Break Even' starts off in a very dramatic fashion which is only enhanced by the accompanying artistic and thought-provoking video. 

​

The synths sound simply fantastic on this record, sounding anywhere from dark and ominous to dreamy and cinematic, leading my imagination into a dystopian but beautiful future. 

 

Tim's heartfelt and perhaps mournful vocal provides the perfect centrepiece to the synth soundscape. It may be a song of few words, but the words are impacting and represented perfectly by the music.

The world of the intriguingly titled '1st Base Runner' has just begun. The bar has been set very high in a record that reminds me of everything I love about Radiohead, but with a distinctly different vocal style. I'm excited to see what's next.
